Team Program

The Bay Area Stars Diving Team, Inc. has been part of the Clear Area since 1987. Its members have come from Southeast Houston, Galveston, League City, Pearland, Friendswood, Nassau Bay, Baytown and Greater Clear Lake communities.

Location: Friendswood High School & Pearland Aquatic Facility.  Email svenschultz@comcast.net
Facilities: Friendswood: 1 one meter and 1 three meter Durflex boards with 1 two meter slide for entries
Pearland: 2 one meter and 2 three meter on concrete stands plus gym mats for light tumbling.
Coach(es):

Sven Schultz has over 26 years of public school experience, over 30 years of teaching diving, and competed nationally and internationally.

Assistants:

Nika Cramner was a four year letterman in diving from Clear Lake. She begins her fourth year coaching diving and has a BS in Biology from the University of Houston.

Days & Times:

Friday 500pm-6:30pm, Friendswood location
Monday & Wednesday 5:00pm-7:00pm, Pearland location
Gym on Tuesday or Saturday.

Requirements:
  • Must have an AAU Membership.
  • Must sign a medical and liability release form.
  • Display an excellent attitude, please read the code of conduct.
  • Perform basic swimming skills (i.e. can do down to the bottom of a 12 .5 foot pool and come to the side.
Cost:

AAU insurance: $14
Registration: $150 one time family registration fee for the team’s booster club.  One registration fee per family.

Payment is made via PayPal or cash.   
Participation: All Team members are required to make three meets: one meet in the fall, one in the winter or spring, and one in the summer.
